Charity running has become an integral part of the Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K, and we want to continue to your programs and the causes they support. Training for a half marathon is a challenge, and finding the right motivation is a great way to keep it fun and help athletes stay committed.

Our 2017 Official Charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), will be accepting valuable donations from our participants through online and in-person registration for the race. And, we are excited to partner with  MDA Team Momentum as our Official Charity Training Partner.

How can I join the team?
Interested in fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association? Join the Official Charity Training Program, Team Momentum. MDA Team Momentum is a powerful and inspiring program that empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things to save and improve lives of people fighting muscle disease. Join MDA Team Momentum to receive guaranteed race entry, (depending on your fundraising level, MDA will also offer to pay for your race entry) world class coach-led training, team events and camaraderie, fundraising tools and most importantly, the opportunity to dedicate your participation to the fight against muscular dystrophy, ALS and other life threatening diseases!

How can I donate?
All registrants for the 2017 Chicago Spring Half Marathon have the option of including a monetary donation in addition to the sign-up fee. Just check the appropriate denomination box on your online registration form and include the desired amount in your payment. Donations of $5, $10, $25 and $50 may be included with your event registration fee. It’s just that easy!

Back on My Feet uses the power of running to help those experiencing homelessness work toward greater self-sufficiency. Back on My Feet circles up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Volunteers and Residential Members (those experiencing homelessness) run together — side by side — sharing smiles and miles.

As a runner, you know the power the sport holds. You can help Back on My Feet Chicago by doing what you love — running — and FundRacing for our cause. Ten of our Residential Members will be running the Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K.
